Raymond Mitchell Hahn, 85, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in Lake Placid, FL. He was born Oct. 11, 1918, to Henry and Clara Hahn in Chicago, IL, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1983, coming from Markham, IL. He was a machinist and a veteran of World War II, serving in Italy, North Africa and India in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of VFW, Foresters, Photo Club of Blue Island and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mabel Willoughby Hahn of Avon Park; daughters, Charlotte Hahn James of Lake Placid, FL and Janet Miller of Lake Wales, FL; son, Philip Hahn of Markham, IL; grandsons, Jason James of Stafford Springs, CT, Andrew Hahn of Boulder, CO and Jeremiah Hahn of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughters, Nancy James of Tallahassee, FL, Jennifer Ernsteen of Buffalo Grove, IL, Sara Verwers of Kansas City, MO and Katherine Hahn of Elsah, IL; great-grandchildren, Payton and Lauren Ernsteen, Nicholas and Jake Verwers and Jilian James; niece, Carole Jones; nephews, Dr. Craig Humphreys and Dick Humphreys. He was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Hahn Drexel; and sister, Mary Humphreys. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL.
