Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

My husband could not find the rubber boots he needed for work, so we stopped at Farm & Fleet in Woodstock recently. A trip to Farm & Fleet is always interesting, and once you get over being assaulted by the smell of rubber–they sell tires in the store–you can most likely find just about everything you never have thought you might need.

We had finished shopping and were leaving the store. At the drinking fountain by the exit, two children, probably 4 or 5 years old, were trying to drink water from the spout. They weren’t having much luck, as evidenced by the water dripping down their faces and onto their clothes.

“Get away from there!” the kids’ father bellowed at them.

“But, Dad, we’re thirsty!” the little girl exclaimed.

“I said get away from that water!” he replied. “We have pop at home!”

We escaped to our car.
