Ben Neiman, 80, of Delray Beach, FL, and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Jan. 11, 2004. He was born in Novo Barovo, Ukraine on March 11, 1923. Ben was the owner/baker of Levinson’s Bakery and Devon Bake Shop in Chicago. He has resided in Delray Beach for the past 15 years. Ben was a Holocaust survivor. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Paula; his son Max and his wife Sarah; his stepson Armend Szmulewitz and his wife Maxine; his grandson David Neiman and his wife Jamie; his grandson Russell Szmulewitz and his wife Linda; his grandson Joshua Neiman; his brother Avram Katz; his nephews Kobi Katz and Frank Yeager; and many other family members. Ben was a sweet, generous, gentle person and a good friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 13, 10 a.m. at The Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd. (1 block No. of Old Orchard). Interment Westlawn, Chicago.
