The federal government has canceled a ban imposed last month on small airplanes flying over downtown Chicago, the Federal Aviation Administration said Monday.
The restrictions were lifted Friday night when the nation’s terror alert level was lowered from orange, or high, to yellow, which indicates a lower risk level, officials said. The flight ban was imposed Dec. 24 at the request of the Daley administration after the terror alert level was raised to orange.
