I was delighted to read your editorial “The Snow Samaritans” (Jan. 6). I am one of the “elderly” recipients “down the street” of the Samaritans on my block. For the last five years, I usually get my driveway swept clean by the wonderful boys who live next door and again, one day last week, I awoke to find my driveway and porch shoveled and cleared. There is really no way to express my appreciation. Thank you, Tribune, for printing the editorial, and thank you, Julian, Emil, Ian and Adam.
