Robert W. Wood, age 66 passed away on Jan. 10 at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, loving father of Nicole (John) Gates, Daniel, Charles and Monica Wood; devoted grandfather of Henry Robert Gates; dear brother of Mary Martin and Richard (Mary, nee Mulholland) Wood; fond uncle of many; former husband and friend of Judy Schoenbaum Wood; beloved son of the late William and Myrtle, nee Kelleher, Wood. A lifelong Oak Park resident, he graduated from St. Catherine of Siena School, Fenwick High School (’55) and Illinois Institute of Technology, B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. For the last 10 years Bob tutored in Mathematics, working with both high school and college students. He will also be remembered for his passion for sports, photography and his love of books.
