Jeff Horner set the tone with a pair of three-pointers in the first 1 1/2 minutes, finishing with a career-high 23 points for visiting Iowa in an 83-68 victory over Minnesota on Tuesday night.
Four other players scored in double digits for Iowa (9-4, 2-1 Big Ten), including Brody Boyd (15).
“I just appreciate … getting off the mat the way they did after such a disappointing loss,” said coach Steve Alford, who was angered by a lack of veteran leadership following a 77-68 loss to Northwestern on Saturday.
