Harvey A. Jacobs, age 81, of Northbrook, died of complications from Emphysema and Crohn’s Disease on Friday, January 9, 2004. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 58 years, Hermine, nee Cohn,; son Martin J. Jacobs; daughter Lanis J. Howe (Tom Howe); grandchildren Nicolas Howe, Courtney and Logan Jacobs. Harvey was the founder and former President/CEO of Lanmar Inc. in Northbrook, a packaging materials distributor/converter. He was a WWII veteran as bomber pilot of a B-26 Martin Marauder, with 57 combat missions in the European Theatre. He was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his heroism and service. Private internment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie. Memorial service at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, on Thursday, January 15, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. Please use Skokie Blvd. entrance opposite Old Orchard (Saks).
