Stanley Paul Mieczkowski, 76, U.S. Army Vet., retired Edgebrook Station Postal Clerk and former resident of Florence, Alabama, passed away Jan. 9, 2004 in Chicago, beloved husband for 40 years to Alice; cherished stepfather of Howard (Aleta) Turrentine, Jean (the late Dan) Gehrke and Daniel Jr. (Brenda), Harold (Lorrie) and John Turrentine; proud Grandpa Stan of 12; survived by dear siblings, Ann, Toni and Pauline; uncle of Barbara (Jack) Steck. Stan was an avid fisherman and bowler with the Northwestern Milk Drivers League. Memorial Service Thursday, Jan. 15, 7 p.m. at Bethany Retirement Community, 4950 N. Ashland, Chicago.
