After hiding out for two weeks, Britney Spears made her first public comments about her quickie New Year’s wedding. So why’d she do it? Hey, it’s Las Vegas.
“I do believe in the sanctity of marriage, I totally do,” Spears told MTV’s “Total Request Live” by telephone Wednesday. “[But] I was in Vegas, and it took over me.”
As usual, the pop tart says she can’t understand the fuss over her personal life.
“We landed on Mars that day–why aren’t they talking about that?” she asked, referring to NASA’s Mars rover.
Spears said she and 55-hour hubby Jason Alexander “hit it off completely,” but when asked whether she had true feelings for him, she would only say, “That’s a personal question,” and went on to promote her new video, “Toxic.”
