As an Iowa cattle producer, I would like to commend your staff on the reporting of mad cow disease. The Tribune was my major source on keeping up with the news on BSE.
It made me feel good after reading many of your daily stories that the full truth was being told about BSE. The people of the Chicago area should have nothing to worry about when it comes to the safety of the beef that they eat. This was proven to me at a warehouse club in Schaumburg. Most people were choosing beef. That would make any cattle producer feel good.
