Carmelo Chimera, age 88, late of Oak Forest and former longtime Bridgeport resident, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, cherished husband of Francesca, nee Butera; devoted father of Rosalie (Mario) Bottari, Josephine (Filippo) Fragale, Anna (Carmelo) Schifano, Silvana Chimera, Vincenzo (Stacie) Chimera, Michael (Maryrose) Chimera and Anthony (Sheryl) Chimera; loving brother of the late Michelangelo, late Giuseppe (Margherita) and late Angelina (Nicola); dearest grandfather of Giovanna (Mario) Imbarrato, Alfio and Carmelo Bottari, Elizabeth and Bernardino Fragale, Joseph and Carmelo Schifano, Carmelo, Vincenzo and Nicholas Chimera, Michael Chimera and Francesca, Anthony and Gabriel Chimera; dearest great-grandfather of Gianna Lia Imbarrato; fond uncle, cousin and friend to many. Funeral Service Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the Edgar Funeral Home, 10900 S.
