This is in response to “School rules change forces racial choice; Multiethnic kids must list 1 race” Page 1, Jan. 11).
May I suggest that everyone of all colors and races defy categorization and check “white”? Make the terms meaningless and maybe they’ll go away.
Of course, you’ll probably have a news story on your hands the first time a teacher tells a child, “Sorry, you can’t check `white.'”
