Sheldon S. Simon, age 80, a noted expert on Polychlorinated Biphenyls and former head of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s PCB Program died Thursday, January 15, at U. of C. Hospital. He was the husband for 25 years of Joyce, nee Garrett, Nagela; father of Pamela Simon-Downey, John (Debra) and Robert Simon, Don (Lori) Nagela, Margaret (Marion Bryer) Nagela, Suzanne (Joseph) Isdonas, and Laura O’Connor; best gramps of Aaron and Morgan Simon, Don and Kailey Nagela, Alexander, Katelyn and Joseph Isdonas, and Kelley and Kevin O’Connor; great grandfather of Austin Nagela; brother of Hope (Harold) Gordon.
