I found it odd that your editorial focused entirely on Paul O’Neill’s remarks about the administration’s wish to unseat Saddam Hussein. As you say, that’s old news.

What I believe is far more newsworthy to your readers is the former cabinet member’s observations about the president being disengaged and, it would seem, manipulated by a senior staff all sharing the same points of view. That observation, coming from a long-time Republican who served two other presidents before Bush, is news, and something the American people would want to know about.
