A 17-year-old student at Steinmetz High School was charged Wednesday night with sexually assaulting another student, police said.
Stanley Jones, of the 1800 block of North Mason Street, was charged with criminal sexual assault for attacking a 16-year-old female student, according to Chicago police spokesman Hector Alfaro.
The attack took place at about noon Tuesday in the school, 3030 N. Mobile Ave., Alfaro said.
The female student didn’t report the incident, but “she reported it to her mother, and her mother complained,” Alfaro said.
Administrators at Steinmetz, which has roughly 2,500 students, could not be reached for comment late Wednesday.
