Ruth M. Flaks, age 89, passed away Jan. 22, 2004. Born in Chicago and came to Hinsdale with her family in 1930. Miss Flaks spent 35 years in the employ of Shmidt Garden and Erikson, Leaders in the development of schools and hospital design in the growing city. She is survived by her brothers, Francis A. Jr. (Barbara), Robert E. (Joyce) and Richard A. (Eileen) Flaks; preceded in death by a brother, Carl R. Flaks. Family and friends to gather for a Memorial Service on Thursday, Jan. 29, 10 a.m. at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Interment private.
