Notably lacking from President Bush’s State of the Union address was any mention of an issue that is of concern to millions of Americans: the environment. This is presumably because the president has nothing to brag about on this subject. Nor does Bush have any vision for the future as far as the environment is concerned. It is clearly not part of his re-election agenda–a fact that American voters should contemplate.
