I was at the rally in Des Moines that you so mischaracterized on the Jan. 22 front page. It was a pep rally. It was a gift of passion, hope and reassurance to the thousands of supporters who had traveled to Iowa at their own expense and endured long hours, bad food and freezing temperatures to work for a cause they believed in: that of improving the state of our union through the candidacy of Howard Dean.
