Robert I. Walesa, 65, of Burlington, formerly of Park Ridge, IL, and Clermont, FL. Passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Loyola University Medical Center, in Maywood, IL. He was born July 19, 1938, in Chicago, IL, to Walter and Caroline, nee Jedynak Walesa. He grew up in Chicago and attended St. Wenceslaus Grade School and Lane Tech High School. On Aug. 29, 1959, at St. Viator’s Catholic Church in Chicago, he was united in marriage to Dale E. Waldie. Following marriage they lived in Chicago, IL, Park Ridge, IL, Burlington, WI, and Clermont, FL. Bob was employed as an elevator constructor with Otis Elevator Co. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Elevator Union Local #2, and the Marine Corps League Fox River Detachment. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs Fan. Bob served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. Bob is survived by his wife, Dale E. of Burlington; two sons, Robert C. and David M. (Pam) Walesa, both of Burlington, two daughters, Kimberly A. (David) Milatz of Burlington and Sandra L. Walesa of Clermont, FL; six grandchildren, Jessica Milatz, Wednesday Walesa, Kyle Chriske, R.J. Larson, and Haley and Luke Walesa. He is preceded by his parents; and a sister, Dolores Sadogierski. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, 108 McHenry St., with Rev. Joseph Debski, officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends can visit with the family on Tuesday, January 27, 2004, from 3 until 8 p.m. at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Bob will be remembered as a very loving and generous man, who was devoted to his family and enjoyed his many friends. He will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the: Marine Corps League Fox River Detachment, City of Burlington Fire Dept., or to the Cerebral Aneurysm Study Fund at Loyola University Dept. of Neuro Surgery, 2160 S. 1st Ave., Maywood, IL 60153.
