Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It was only a matter of time before someone would figure out that the E-generation would want to mix MP3s, WMAs and CD music in the same way that DJs of earlier eras would spin albums.

Enter the DJ Console ($250) created by Hercules, which works with a PC or laptop to play, sample, loop and scratch digital music.

You also can hear a DVD or game with its 24 bit, 5.1 surround sound. If you’re a digital music fan who likes to put together party mixes for friends, this is a must-have gadget that’s not only fun to learn but also easy to use.

The device has two jog wheels for scratching and spinning and more than two dozen buttons for playing with the song positions, adding effects or changing the music’s speed. You simply plug it into a Universal Serial Bus port to your computer and go to work.
