Robert L. Stephens, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, OH. Graduated Bellaire High School. Retired from American Mutual Insurance Alliance in Chicago. Previously employed with Nationwide Insurance, Research and Development in Columbus. Served in U.S. Army during WWII. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Marguerite Stephens; and brother John P. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Eva; children Sandra L. Ippoliti of Columbus, Pamela K. (John) Mellor of Logan, Gregory M. (Patty) Stephens of Long Point, IL; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Margarite Bjelland of Sweden; brother Lewes D. of Florida; sister-in-law Wanda (John P.) of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 N. High St., Fr. Mark Ghiloni, Celebrant. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd.
