Steven A. Larsen, 54, Hinsdale, IL. Steve passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, George (Mary Leuser); daughter, Katie; his mother, Erma (late Harry Larsen); brother, Gary and preceded by brother, George; sisters, Dee and Jane (Craig Vogel); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many treasured friends also survive him. Steve served in the Navy from 1969-1971, doing a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was the owner of Larsen Automation/Action Automation, Inc. in Willowbrook, IL. He is best remembered for his competitiveness in golf and his love of sailing. His belief in hard work and fair play carried him through many of life’s most challenging opportunities. He was a simple person expecting no more out of life and people than he would expect of himself. A man for all seasons and for all peoples. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Steve’s name to the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at Loyola University, 820 N. Michigan Ave., Lewis Towers, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60611, Attn: Linda Townsend, Office of Development, would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fourth and Clay Sts., Hinsdale, IL 60521. Interment private.
