One of three co-defendants pleaded guilty Friday to killing an Elgin man during a home invasion in February 2003 as the man slept with his girlfriend and toddler.

Taurean Giles, 17, of Elgin, entered the plea. In addition to three counts of murder, Giles pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and home invasion.

He could face life in prison because a gun was used in the crime.

Giles, Kineta Bell, 20, and Getino Robinson, 24, were arrested and charged in the Feb. 11 death of Kyle Juggins. Juggins, 32, of the 1200 block of Abbott Drive was stabbed and shot in the head.
