Scottie Pippen’s tirade against his Bulls teammates for lack of effort (Tribune, Jan. 23) sounds hollow when you consider his performance and leadership, which is non-existent.
His numbers on the day he spoke out: a .381 shooting percentage, a .636 free-throw percentage and a 3.2-point scoring average. He had played in only 17 of 42 games.
All this for $6 million.
