– Look for Nissan to announce soon that too many consumers are confused by the Pathfinder Armada name on its new full-size sport-utility, so it will be called simply Armada. The Pathfinder designation was borrowed from Nissan’s midsize sport-utility and will remain on that vehicle.
– Base prices for the Infiniti Q56 are $47,400 with rear-wheel-drive and $50,400 with all-wheel-drive, not including the $680 destination charge. The Q56, a full-size sport-utility, goes on sale this month. It is built in Canton, Miss. Options include a $1,200 power sunroof, $1,100 Smart Vision Package and $1,600 DVD entertainment system.
– Volkswagen has added all-wheel-drive to the Passat with the 1.8-liter turbocharged engine. The Passat GLS 4Motion sedan starts at $25,130 and the wagon at $26,130. The prices are with manual transmission (automatic costs $1,075) and do not include the $575 destination charge. Previously, VW offered 4Motion only on Passats with a V-6 or W8 engine.
