Beth R. Jug, age 40, of Woodridge, IL and formerly of Mt. Horeb, WI, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004 at her home, with her family present. The former Beth Renee Ketterer was born May 12, 1963 in Kenosha, WI to Larry Ketterer and Dixie Risic. Beth graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1981 and graduated from UWMadison in 1985 in Electrical Engineering. After graduation she moved to Boston to work for Raytheon. She worked on the Patriot and Hawk missile. There she met Peter Jug and got married on October 27, 1990 in Mt. Horeb, WI. They moved then to Chicago, IL. Beth got a job with Morey Corporation and later with Phillips Advanced Transformer for almost 10 years. During her years at Advanced Transformer she moved up to the position of the Director of Engineering. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Four and a half years ago her battle with breast cancer started. She fought that with the same determination she displayed everyday in life. She and Peter loved to travel and visited many different countries. Her newest love was her niece, Marilyn. She was a Badger fan and had season tickets for 11 years. Survived by her husband, Peter Jug of Woodridge, IL; her mother, Dixie (James) Burns; her father, Larry (Sally) Ketterer; her brother, Dan (Heather) Ketterer, all of Mt. Horeb; her niece, Marilyn Ketterer; her grandmothers, Lenice Risic and Cecelia Ketterer both of Fennimore; her mother-in-law, Maria Jug of Woodridge; and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joette in 1992; two grandfathers, Murel Risic and LaVern Ketterer. Memorial Services will be at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jacqueline Shrarer Robertson and Rev. Lois McCullen Parr officiating. Private burial will be at Springdale Lutheran Church Cemetery.
