Joseph Tomaszewicz, born in Poland on Dec. 12, 1918, passed away Feb. 3, 2004 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Eugenia Gebka. He will be missed by his family, daughters, Dorine (Jody) Stafford and Celeste (Al) Fouty; grandchildren, J.T. Stafford, Jessica Stafford and Cole Fouty; his cousin, Tony Niedwiedski; and his pets, Blaze and Princess. Joseph came to America from Germany in October, 1949. During WWII he spent six years in a German P.O.W. Camp. Joe learned his electrical trade in Hamburg, Germany following Liberation Day. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local Union #701 of Warrenville, IL. He settled in Pompano with his wife and daughters in 1967. Mass 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at St. Coleman’s Catholic Church, Pompano Beach.
