Throughout the Bush presidency Democrats have poked fun at his verbal missteps, drawing comparisons to Dan Quayle and generally implying that George W. Bush is a dunce. Yet to hear the campaign rhetoric, somehow the dumb George Bush was smart enough to fool all but a very few Democrats into believing there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
Dems claim to have been conned into voting overwhelmingly for an invasion and that Bush was the con man. Democrats say the wool was cleverly pulled over their eyes by the same guy they have characterized as an inept bumbler.
Where does that put the Democrats on the intelligence scale?
