Jane O’Connor, nee Vaughan, 82, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, beloved wife of the late William P. O’Connor; loving mother of Kathy, Bill (Kristi Coulter), Maureen, Colleen (Larry Bartz), John (Toni Lucas), Kevin (Cathy Deputy) and Timothy (Paula Johnstone); devoted grandmother of Trish, Erin, Bill, Shannon, Jeanette, Sean, Matthew, Ryan, Katelyn, Lauren, Haley, Kelly, Bridget, Colin, Quinn, Dylan, Nolan, Katie, Will and Meg; dear sister of Mary Holbrook and the late Michael J. Vaughan Jr. Mrs. O’Connor was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. She was born Dec. 9, 1921 to Michael J. Vaughan of County Clare, Ireland and Mae Vaughan. She was a proud graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Chicago. She was an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for over 30 years. Funeral Service 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 71st and Keystone, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
