I believe there is a quick remedy for what befell CBS and the NFL in Super Bowl XXXVIII.
The network and the league need to re-emphasize what the Super Bowl and football are really all about. It’s not about mostly bare body parts at halftime shows or sexy dancing or lurid lyrics. The Super Bowl is about organized mayhem, violence, men inflicting bone-breaking tackles and blocks, 750 pounds of angry, highly paid men throwing quarterbacks around like rag dolls.
You know, good, clean, wholesome family entertainment.
