Will “Bud” S. Adams, 90, a WWII Navy Medic and longtime Chicago pharmacist, died February 6, following a brief illness. Known as “Doc Adams” to his customers, Will was the embodiment of a friendly small town pharmacist in a big city setting. In his more than 30 year career, he worked for Steinway, DeKoven, Lapin, Osco and Walgreens. Will and the late Jane Freeberg were married for 57 years until her death in 1995. As a young man, Will bartended at the Wrigley Building and studied commercial art. Will’s family was his pride and joy. He is survived by sons, John and Steve; daughters, Valerie and Judy; daughter-in-law, Linda; grandchildren, Erik, Allison and Andrew; great-granddaughter, Kelsey. Ceremony at Beverly Cemetery, date to be determined.
