Thank you for Ron Kotulak’s article tracing the evolutionary development of life forms culminating in human beings. Not only was it educational but should end the heretofore-annoying habit among otherwise intelligently run newspapers of referring to it as the “theory” of evolution. If it can be predicted and demonstrated (i.e. proven), it’s no mere theory.

To think that in some states, boards of education are contorting logic in a vain effort to placate contradictory doctrinal explanations for what science has shown to be life’s origins. What a disservice they do their children by clouding their understanding of biological reality.

In the realm of the spirit, religious belief may be an enormous comfort, and from one belief system to another there are many versions explaining a given manifestation. But in the tangible world of provability, science carries the day.

Thank you for this sobering reminder that what is, is.
