Schmidt, 95, of Palatine, employed for 41 years at Bethleham Steel Co. in Chicago, dear husband of Alice M.; beloved father of Kenneth (Carol) and Karen (the late Ted) Pohl; cherished grandfather of Scott, Jeff and Greg Pohl, Cindy (Bill) Gorham, Tracy (Jeff) Muschick and John (Kristi) Schmidt; loving grandpa of Paige and Ellie Gorham, Sydney and Sabrina Schmidt; fond brother of the late Louis and the late Helen Kennedy.
