Warren W. Browning, age 76, of Hobe Sound, Florida and Lake Bluff, Illinois, died in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on February 5, 2004. He was born May 26, 1927 in Marion, Illinois; son of the late J. Roy and Bertha Raum Browning. Mr. Browning was a graduate of Stanford University and Northwestern University School of Law. He retired as General Counsel from Elgin National Industries. He was a member of Loblolly Pines, Hobe Sound and Shoreacres, Lake Bluff. Mr. Browning is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Caroline T. Browning; two children, Laura B. (Chuck) Johnson and Web (Kyra) Browning Jr; and three grandchildren, Katie Johnson, Andy Johnson and Lyla Browning. A memorial service will be held in Lake Bluff in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Browning may be made either to the Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation, 1 Briar Road, Golf IL 60029 or to the Lake Forest Hospital Hunter Family Center For Women’s Health, 600 Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
