Lucille C. Schlaudraff, nee Reed, a 36 year resident of Matteson, passed away Feb. 11. Lucille was the beloved wife of Kenneth Schlaudraff; loving mother of Jeannette Jump, Kenneth Ray (Marilyn), Robert (Cathie), Scott (Sherri) and Charles Schlaudraff; dearest sister of Jeannette Branson, Lois Rairden and Ermel Reed Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lucille also was the proud foster mother of 166 foster children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ermel and Jennie; a daughter, Suellyn; a sister, Leona Elkins; and a brother, Robert Reed. Lucille was a member of St. Paul’s Good Shepherd United Protestant Church, she was an active member of the Jewish Children’s Bureau and Chicago Childcare. Lucille and her husband, Kenneth, were foster parents for 53 years and especially loved people and children. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch Lincolnway Chapel, 3501 W. Lincoln Highway in Matteson. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Good Shepherd United Protestant Church, 480 Lakewood Blvd., Park Forest.
