Despite the current deep freeze, spring is not that far away and soon our feathered friends will be returning to nest in our back yards.
In a small way, there is a housing boom going on in birdland. This spring there will be birdhouses galore, a trend spotted at the recent Chicago Gift & Home Market at The Merchandise Mart, and in a wide choice of architecture. Styles range from humble log cabins to small-scale elegant reproductions of Victorian mansions and everything in between.
