Bridgeview residents will have a chance to meet and greet their new neighbors on Friday when the Chicago Fire hosts a reception.
The Major League Soccer team announced plans last month to build a 20,000- to 25,000-seat stadium, team offices and training facilities on a 60-acre site near the northeast corner of Harlem Avenue and 79th Street.
Team officials, players and village officials are expected at the reception, which starts at 6 p.m. at the Bridgeview Sports Dome, 8900 S. 77th Ave.
