Timothy Bryan Hanks, Nov. 8, 1945-Feb. 4, 2004, formerly known as Timothy Bryan Wang, passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Feb. 4 in Reno, NV, due to many diabetic complications. Tim B. Hanks will lovingly be missed and remembered by many close friends and family members, especially his two devoted daughters, Cassie Barton and Kris Lane. “Anyone can be a Father, it takes someone special to be a Dad.” Tim shared his love of life through his thoughtful ways with words, his kind gentle manner with his grandchildren and pets, his passion for music and lively exchanges of information and ideas with friends over a good cup of coffee. A memorial honoring Tim’s life will be held at Hackney’s on Lake in Glenview on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. For those wishing to send flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association as an alternative, 800-342-2383. “…roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair…the night’s busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere…climb in back, heaven’s waiting down on the tracks, oh come take my hand, we’re riding out tonight to case the promised land…” Bruce Springsteen
