Elmer Kaplan, 87, of Northbrook, beloved husband of the late Alice; loving father of Stuart (Masako) of Columbus, IN, Matthew (Deborah) of Libertyville and the late David; indulgent grandfather of Emma, Rachel, Andrew, Sam and Nathan. Mr. Kaplan passed away Feb. 13, 2004 at Highland Park Hospital. He served with the Office of Strategic Services during World War II, then worked at Briskin Manufacturing Company of Chicago, retiring as Executive Vice President in 2000.
