Ruth E. Schweitzer, 74, of Des Plaines, peacefully after a long illness, on Feb. 15, 2004, beloved daughter of the late Anthony Schweitzer and the late Helen McCarthy Schweitzer; dear sister of the late Robert L. Schweitzer and of Mary S. (John) Nolan and sister-in-law of Nancy J. Schweitzer; caring aunt of 12 nieces and nephews and seven grandnieces and grandnephews. Former member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of LaGrange, IL and longtime teacher of English at Clemente High School, Chicago. Family will receive friends 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines, with Mass at 11 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
