Simon Cowell isn’t exactly shy about speaking his mind, and Ruben Studdard’s size is on his mind, TV Guide reports.
Cowell says Ruben is “bigger than he ever was”–and he’s not talking about the “American Idol” winner’s popularity.
“Under any circumstances, to carry that kind of weight is bad for you,” Cowell tells the publication. “But couple that with the schedule and the stress this guy is under … Ruben’s weight is literally out of control.
“If somebody doesn’t sit him down properly, then they’re not doing their job. You could argue that it is or it isn’t my job. And he’ll probably tell me where to go. But I don’t care.”
