John Schleitwiler, of Oswego, passed away at Edwards Hospital in Naperville, Tuesday, February 17, 2004. He was born June 23, 1923, in Cicero, IL, to the late Jacob and the late Anna (Schanke) Schleitwiler. Survivors include his loving wife Lorraine; three children Ruthanne (Kevin) Martin-Hyland of Sausalito, CA, John (Pat) of Chandler, IN, Mark of Sausalito, CA; a brother Donald (Phyllis) of Oswego, IL; two sisters-in-law, Ellen (the late George) of Westmont, IL, Alice (the late Robert) of Lyons, IL; a grandson, John of Elkhart, IN and many nieces and nephews. His parents, five brothers, Harold (the late Rose), George (Ellen), James (the late Grace), Leonard (the late Eleanor), Robert (Alice) and a granddaughter Lisa, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, February 20, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. A Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Oswego. Fr. Bob Collogan will officiate with Fr. David Hankus of St. Francis of Bolingbrook as con-celebrant with interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2004, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.
