You can fight the power from your classroom seat. You’ve got to fight the power–it’s free!

Rap pioneer Chuck D will bring his politically minded invective to Chicago on Tuesday night at the Illinois Institute of Technology as part of the school’s Black History Month celebration. From Public Enemy to public speaker, the hip-hop assassin will target music, society and even illegal downloading.

Although the event is free and open to everyone, tickets are required. As of Monday night, only about 100 tickets were left at the campus information center (3201 S. State St.). The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the Hermann Union Building Auditorium at 3241 S. Federal St.
