Frances L. Fernandez, age 86. Passed away peacefully on February 24, 2004 with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her three children: Robert, Anna and Louis; and grand children. Frances moved to Chicago from Guatemala and made a career in nursing. She worked at two north side nursing homes and retired from working at the then, Forkosh Memorial Hospital. She loved helping and assisting others in need or in poor health. Her dedication to her job made her a modern day Florence Nightingale. Frances touched many lives and will be sorely missed. But we take great comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord now and for ever. No memorial is scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charitable organization.
