Darwin C. Rudd, age 84, of Oakbrook Terrace, IL, died Feb. 25, 2004. Dearly beloved husband of the late Miriam A. Rudd; beloved father of Wayne Rudd, Cathy Miland, Susan (Rick) Buchanan and Gloria (Mark) Kaufman; loving grandfather of nine; and greatgrandfather of four; survived by three brothers and two sisters; loved by all who knew him. A WWII veteran, Darwin was a captain in the 39th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, receiving numerous medals including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Darwin was a former Mayor of Oakbrook Terrace, worked at Stanadyne in Bellwood, IL, until he retired. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 7600 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
