MTV’s “Real World” heads to Philadelphia for its 15th season this spring.

The City of Brotherly Love had long been considered a favorite for hosting honors on the venerable reality series. “Real World XV” will air over 24 episodes in the fall.

MTV also announced that the next edition of “Road Rules” will travel to Chile and Argentina.

“After 14 seasons, ‘Real World’ continues to strike a chord with fans, and we’re looking forward to filming the next season in Philadelphia,” says Lois Curren, MTV’s executive vice president of series entertainment. “We’re also incredibly excited about bringing ‘Road Rules’ to South America.”

The most recent edition of “The Real World,” filmed in San Diego, has ridden the traditional formula of attractive youngsters getting drunk and hooking up to some of the highest ratings in the franchise’s long run. This season’s premiere was the most watched in the show’s history.
