Sybil Stevens, born November 29, 1930 in Chicago. Daughter of the late Ithiel Silsby and Edith Hattie, nee Martin; beloved sister of the late Mary Louise; dearest sister-in-law of Paul Thomas Tiddens; cherished aunt of Marilyn (Richard Jr.) Price, Louise (John) Gilmore, Steven Paul (Jennifer), and Paul Thomas Tiddens Jr.; loving great-aunt of Sean Patrick (Jennifer) Price, Corin (John) Meibos, Reed Stevens (Brooke) Price, Richard A. (Julianne) Price III, Cara Lynn (Doug) Kisby, Kelly Enright (Mike) Anderson, Shannon Catherine (David) Williams, Rebecca Marie (Scott) Robinson, Jay Gilmore, Michael Steven and Taryn Jordan Tiddens; great-great-aunt of 12 nieces and nephews. A graduate of Bradley University in 1953, with a degree in Sociology. She had a long career in personnel/human resources, worked for Union Tank Car for eight years, and was employed with Reuben H. Donnelly for 28 years, becoming Assistant Personnel Manager and Director of its Midwest Region. She held a leadership position in the Women’s Personnel Association and was a member of PEO and charter member of the Chicago Chapter of Executive Women Int. A Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Fourth Presybertian Church (Michigan & Delaware). Interment private.
