I was shocked–shocked–to discover that I’m married to a terrorist, according to Secretary of Education Rod Paige (“Education chief calls teachers union `terrorist’ group,” News, Feb. 24).
And there are 2.7 million more terrorists like my wife affecting impressionable young minds all over this country.
If Paige wants to have a positive impact now that his outrageous comments have left his lips, he could lobby for sufficient funding of the No Child Left Behind program.
This irresponsible and grandstanding practice of passing laws without adequate funds for laws to succeed must stop.
