Chicago Police are still searching for two suspects believed responsible for multiple rapes on the North Side and in other parts of the city.

One man is believed to have assaulted at least eight women as they walked alone at night in Wicker Park, Lincoln Park and other North Side neighborhoods last summer and fall. The other suspect has raped five women in Chicago (the latest attack was Feb. 7) and two elsewhere after entering their homes through a window or door.

Police spokesman Carlos Herrera said Thursday there are no new developments in either case.

In the case of the North Side street rapist, police are still looking into leads on the attacker’s car, described as a dark Pontiac Grand Am from the 1980s or early ’90s, Herrera said. Police in December looking for similar cars found more than 1,000 that could fit the description.
